1.02. PatchNote - Sound, Control

First of all, we sincerely thank everyone who has shown interest and played this game.

We are continuously building the game, starting from the smallest fun and gradually expanding it to be more comfortable, diverse, and enjoyable. As part of that process, we have made the following updates:

  • Sound: It wouldn't make sense to exclude sound from the core fun of the game. So, sound has been quickly developed and applied to the build. We're really proud of how great it sounds, so make sure to check it out.

  • Control: The mobile swipe action turned out to be more inconvenient than expected. So, we’ve added arrow buttons. A replacement with a nicer design is coming soon, so we kindly ask for your patience despite any awkwardness for now.

  • Visual & System: The skin-changing feature mentioned in the previous blog post is about 70% developed. We’re finishing it up, and it should be ready to debut by December.

  • System: The design for the enhancement elements when leveling up is mostly complete. It will be available by December at the earliest, or by January at the latest.

The following points are areas where our team is brainstorming to make the game more fun:

    • Basic Rules: We liked the idea that this game follows the traditional rules of Snake while breaking the classic "don’t step on the body" rule. However, it has raised some strong doubts among players. "It's a Snake game, but stepping on the body?" Additionally, the rule about dividing the body, like "you can step on it once, but not twice," has only caused more confusion. So, we are rethinking this fundamental rule and the core fun of the game. We don’t know where this will lead yet, but if you're interested after reading this, we would greatly appreciate your feedback.

We will continue to bring you an even more enjoyable gaming experience.

The name of the game is derived from the sound that a train makes when it moves, which is similar to the Korean pronunciation of 'chick-chick-pork-pork.' However, I feel that this is too long for an English name. If you have any more creative and cool game name ideas, please let me know. Also, if you have name ideas in other languages, I would appreciate that as well. Thank you!
